I have been staying in Poland since a few years already. At the beginning I was sure that I would stay here simply for a few months. I came there for a university exchange and wasn’t interested in learning local language. But then I met an awesome girl and I simply fell in love.

Obviously, she knew English but her parents and a lot of friends had no interest in using the foreign language. They kept on saying that after so so many months in Poland, I should start speaking the language. I have to to agree that they had a point. I couldn’t expect the whole world to speak English. I had to fight my laziness. Because I found tons of of different offers and teachers. Unfortunately, it took me a while before I found the proper teacher and the method. Firstly, I chose a language school. That may have been my mistake as I didn’t request how many people would be in a group. Consequently, I ended up in a big group. This was loud, crowded and awkward. Focus on speaking. Even if it is not grammatically correct. You are going to learn grammatical nuances in time.

Thereafter, I sidgned up for another language class. This time I knew that I should ask all details about a group as well as the teacher. As a result I have ended up in a small group. What I really love was that we attented classes twice a week. On Mondays we had grammar and new topics. On Thursday we were focusing on only conversation. I really enjoyed that approach and it worked very well.
As a result of attending that polish course warsaw , I managed to make a big progress. After half a year I could have a great conversation with mother of my girlfriend! They were extremely touched!
